The fourth meeting of Thematic Panel 2, entitled ‘Prevention of radicalisation and terrorism-related offending: Rehabilitation and restorative approaches for those serving long-term sentences’, took place on 17-18 March 2026, in Brussels and brought together 34 participants.

The fourth meeting of the EU Knowledge Hub Thematic Panel 1 addressed the shifting landscape of extremism, noting that modern ideologies are increasingly hybridised and driven by a mix of complex motivations rather than rigid political lines.

The fourth meeting of Thematic Panel 7 “Radicalisation among diaspora communities affected by Sahel conflicts and TP7 2026 Roadmap”, was held online on 16 January 2026.

Welcome to the fourth issue of The Hub. Insights. ‘Strategic Communication and Artificial Intelligence’.

The Strategic Communications Meeting on 26 November brought together EU institutions, Member States, international organisations, civil society, academia, and private-sector experts to discuss how strategic communications can better address evolving challenges in the prevention of extremism.

The joint meeting in Brussels of Thematic Panels 1 (Ideologies & Conspiracy Narratives) and 3 (New Technologies & the Online Dimension) brought together policymakers, practitioners, and researchers to examine the evolving phenomenon of nihilistic violence in the digital age.

Thematic Panel 5 hosted its fifth meeting entitled “Emerging Threats and Hybridised Ideologies” in Brussels.

The first meeting of 2026 of Thematic Panel 4, titled “From clubs to communities: sports and radicalisation – insights, gender considerations and tools for local practitioners”, took place on 16-17 March 2026 in Brussels.

On 27-28 November 2025, the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation organised in Brussels the third Strategic Communications training on Digital P/CVE for 25 first-line practitioners from different EU Member States.
