Contractual service suppliers (CSSs)

- If staying more than 90 days, you need to apply for a residence permit based on the nature of your work.

The maximum period of stay under each type of authorisation
- If the applicant arrives on a Schengen visa (C-type), the maximum duration is 90 days.
- If the applicant arrives with a national D-visa, the maximum period of stay is 100 days before the validity of the residence permit begins. The requirement for a D-visa is that a person has already been granted a residence permit. The D-visa enables the person to travel to Finland faster and receive the permit in Finland.

Investors
- Finland does not have a specific investor visa or residence permit scheme per se. Therefore, a residence permit cannot be issued solely by virtue of investment activity. A potential investor must therefore apply for a residence permit according to their field of business.
