The European Migration Network (EMN) plays a key role in providing policymakers and the wider public with up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum. This is essential for the EU to better respond to the challenges in these areas.
The Commission services coordinate the EMN in cooperation with National Contact Points (EMN NCPs) appointed by EU countries plus Norway. In their own countries, the EMN NCPs form national networks with a wide-range of relevant stakeholders.
The EMN makes a valuable contribution to evidence-based policymaking. Dissemination of information takes place primarily via the EMN website and publications.
