Each year, the European Commission and the RAN Victims/survivors of Terrorism Working Group organise the ceremony to mark the European Remembrance Day for Victims of Terrorism. This day is devoted to commemorating all EU victims of terrorism worldwide and victims on EU soil. This year, the 20th edition of the European Remembrance Day for Victims of Terrorism will take place on 11 March 2024 in Madrid in the presence of Their Majesties the King and the Queen of Spain and the Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez.
Participation at this in-person event is only possible upon invitation.

Organised in close cooperation with Spain, the ceremony will provide an opportunity for the participants to connect with each other in remembrance and commemoration and to share their thoughts, experiences and perspectives on how to promote remembrance across generations.
