A review of the European Union under the UN Convention against Corruption is underway. This review includes a country visit where UNODC and the reviewers, Czechia and Niue will come to Brussels 13 to 15 November 2023 to exchange on any outstanding issues before the review is finalised.
A session will be organised for a direct exchange between civil society and the reviewers, and to facilitate engagement with all stakeholders.
Interested representatives from civil society can directly email the European Commission and express their willingness to participate to the dedicated session, after which further details will be shared.

Further details: The EU is in the midst of a review of the implementation of articles 15 – 42 of Chapter III “Criminalisation and law enforcement” and articles 44 – 50 of Chapter IV “International cooperation” of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (abbreviated as ‘UNCAC’).
In September 2022, the European Commission, on behalf of the EU, presented the EU's self-assessment in a first round of implementation of the UNCAC to the UN Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
