On behalf of the RAN POL chairs Marzena Kordaczuk-Wąs and Luc Van Der Taelen, we are asking for your support. We are looking for experts in scenario-planning for the extremism landscape, and who can discuss the necessary police capacities to deal with future challenges.
Background and aim of this meeting
The evolving geopolitical, technical, and social developments are impacting the future of extremism in Europe. The fragmentation of ideologies, coupled with the rise of new movements, hostility towards authorities and institutions, and the spread of conspiracy theories through social media, is transforming the extremist landscape and will continue to do so. How to get a grip on what is going on? How to be prepared for sometimes unforeseeable game changers? What capacities do the police need to be agile and prepared?
In the meeting police experts will participate in scenario-planning and discuss capacities and strategies for police.
We are looking for police officers/experts who have expertise in scenario-planning for new developments in the extremism landscape and can offer insights into suitable police capacities.
Deadline
In order to find the best suited participants, we would like to kindly ask you to briefly answer the questions in the survey. Preferably as soon as possible, ultimately before 28 April. Please note that this meeting only allows one participant per EU Member State to attend.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
On behalf of the RAN POL Working Group leaders Marzena Kordaczuk-Wąs and Luc Van Der Taelen.
