Prevention of radicalisation in Europe: Review and perspectives

On 24 and 25 February, the conference “Review and perspectives of the prevention of radicalisation in Europe” takes place. The conference is organised by the French Secretariat General of the Interministerial Committee for the Prevention of Crime and Radicalisation in the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The event is not open to the public, but each EU country will participate through its representative as well as practitioners from the Radicalisation Awareness Network.

Main objectives of the conference

  • To shed light on the main challenges in the EU in the field of radicalisation prevention by illustrating responses provided through RAN.
  • To take stock of existing knowledge on all kind of extremism.

The conference has an important role in ensuring a safer Europe. As extremist threats are constantly evolving, the continuation and improvement of the cooperation between EU countries on preventing radicalisation is of major importance.
