Commission provides EUR 30 million to support security and protection of public spaces

On 8 February, the Commission opened for application a call for proposals under the Internal Security Fund (ISF) with a budget of EUR 30 million. This call will finance projects aiming to improve the security of public spaces with a focus on six priority areas:

• Places of worship of all faiths;
• Jewish places of worship;
• Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats;
• Misuse and trafficking of firearms;
• Explosive detection dogs;
• Threats posed by non-cooperative drones.

Applications may be submitted as of 8 February 2024. The deadline to apply is 4 April 2024.
