EMN Swedish Presidency Conference 2023

The EMN Swedish Presidency Conference aims to explore the potential impact of climate change on global migration patterns.

How can we better understand the interplay between displacement and migration? What is the state of play and what is the future outlook? What are the short-term and long-term consequences of climate change on displacement and migration? How can we ensure a better connection between the different policy areas, and what policy and practical measures are necessary to meet the challenges?

During the conference, the results of the joint EMN-OEDC inform “Displacement and migration related to disasters, climate change and environmental degradation” carried out in 2022, will also be introduced.
