We are currently looking for suitable participants for the RAN Mental Health Working Group meeting on ‘Gender-sensitive approach in P/CVE focusing on trauma in men and boys’.

For our RAN Youth & Education (Y&E) Working Group meeting, we are looking for youth workers, teachers and other relevant experts. Practitioners who can provide concrete examples from their daily practices, or who are observing polarisation phenomena around concepts...

Working with radicalised individuals requires communication in order to build trust and to work on ideological and/or behavioural change. Achieving this can be a challenging and time-consuming process. Their firm black and white world view makes change difficult.

Following feedback from members of the network, we have re-designed the website so that it is both easier to use and the content more accessible. The new and improved website has been launched.

On behalf of the RAN POL chairs Marzena Kordaczuk-Wąs and Luc Van Der Taelen, we are asking for your support. We are looking for experts in scenario-planning for the extremism landscape, and who can discuss the necessary police capacities to deal with future challenges.

The main goal of this meeting is to identify when and how it is appropriate to include formers and victims/survivors in preventive campaigns in P/CVE work. A secondary goal is to identify how preventive campaigns can be improved by working with formers and victims/survivors in an appropriate way.

During the meeting, different practices of mentorship in rehabilitation processes and from adjacent fields will be presented. What are the methods used, on which theories of change are they based on? We will analyse and discuss communalities, differences and challenges.

This meeting addresses whether local and regional authorities are well-enough equipped and in the right position to rebuild trust between citizens and governments when dealing with anti-government sentiments to prevent extremism.

This Special Edition of the RAN Practitioners Update therefore takes a look at the significance of the European Remembrance Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism, shines a spotlight on victims and their role in P/CVE and showcases some of the work being done to support them.
