The Projects to Policy Seminar (PPS)

Every year, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) organise the Projects to Policy Seminar (PPS) to which all the coordinators of the newly launched civil security research projects are invited.

The in-person event is structured into breakout sessions, preceded by a plenary with several presentations of general interest.

Participants meet in

• groups that are split into the four thematic areas:

1. Fighting Crime and Terrorism & Critical Infrastructure (FCT/INFRA)
2. Strengthened Security Research and Innovation (SSRI)
3. Disaster-Resilient Societies (DRS),
4. Border Management (BM)

• groups that are split across thematic areas.

The aim is to raise awareness among the relevant policy Directorates-General on the new projects that have been launched, as well as to provide guidance to these new projects regarding the policy-related outputs the policy Directorates-General are interested in.
