The CERIS Expert Group has just issued its first report, titled Building resilience in the civil security domain based on research and technology, covering a broad array of topics from combating child sexual abuse online and countering disinformation, to bioterrorist threats by non-state actors.

The Council has adopted a decision to lift internal land borders controls with and between Bulgaria and Romania as of 1 January 2025. This important step completes the full entry of both countries into the Schengen area.
