RSSFor the RAN Practitioners C&N Working Group meeting on ‘What’s going on online: Dealing with (potential) use of deep fake technology by extremists and disinformation actors’ we are looking for first-line practitioners and (academic) experts who are interested in attending.
This issue of the RAN Practitioners Update therefore takes a look at the challenges facing prisons in Europe today. The Update includes the latest edition of the RAN Practitioners Spotlight magazine and introduces a new series of programmes, called ‘Event Reports’...
On behalf of the RAN POL we are currently looking for suitable participants from the police who have practical knowledge of case diagnosis for preventive and repressive approaches of youth gang crime, and have inspiring cases/holistic approaches to share during the meeting.
This edition of the RAN Practitioners Spotlight magazine looks at some of the key issues facing prisons today – such as the management of risk, the training of prison staff, the handling of female prisoners and the need for a prison-exit continuum – and hears from some of the people working in them.
During this cross-cutting event, current issues will be discussed ranging from the online monitoring of extremist propaganda to digital approaches carried out by first-line practitioners throughout the EU.
This Special Edition Update takes a look back, at some of the highlights from Updates in recent years. This Update therefore, includes previously published content which tells the story of RAN Practitioners, the P/CVE challenges it has been addressing and the work being done to tackle it.

For this RAN meeting of the Families, Communities & Social Care Working Group, we are looking for practitioners who are working on initiatives aimed at bringing communities together, initiatives focused on community dialogue and/or the prevention of polarisation.
This meeting will take place on 29 and 30 September in Nice, France. We are looking for participants that are interested in joining the RAN Victims/Survivors of Terrorism Working Group’s upcoming meeting on ‘Creating a guideline for involving victims/survivors of terrorism in P/CVE’.
We are currently looking for suitable participants for the RAN Mental Health Working Group meeting on “The changing frameworks of (extremist) ideologies – implications for mental health practitioners”.
