This paper summarises the discussion at the online Police and law enforcement Working Group (RAN POL) meeting held on 24 and 25 November. It starts by presenting the highlights of the discussion on different local training programmes in P/CVE from the last 2 years onwards and on practical materials.

Older generations are becoming increasingly aware that for young people, the online world (social media and online games) is in fact part of the real world. Offline efforts at preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) should thus certainly take into account this online dimension.

The RAN small-scale meeting on ‘Dealing with dissemination of extremist ideology and radicalisation within unofficial prayer rooms’ took place on 30 March 2022. This meeting brought together first-line practitioners with experience with unofficial and official prayer rooms.
