International Conference CBRNe Research & Innovation

The CBRNe Research & Innovation Conference is a key event for sharing the latest scientific updates, gathering feedback from emergency responders’, and discussing the needs in the field. The conference includes workshops and demonstrations of innovative materials, technologies, and best practices, covering themes such as detection, identification, protection, decontamination, medical countermeasures, risks, and crisis management. The 7th edition will be held in Arcachon, France, from 19 to 21 May.

This event will bring together key projects funded under the Civil Security for Society programme, which will engage through a plenary lecture on EU CBRN Research & Innovation led by DG HOME and DG DEFIS, a workshop titled “A journey in 12 years of EU CBRN Research”—presenting projects supported by the Security Research Programme (2013–2025) and selected ongoing initiatives—and a dedicated workshop featuring representatives from the eNOVATION, TeamUp, and DIREKTION projects, alongside a first responder, under the theme “Towards inclusive resilience to CBRN events - Bridging the gaps between first responders, public authorities and citizens”.

The conference is endorsed by CERIS and will be attended by a range of EU-funded projects that regularly attend CERIS events.
