Implementation Dialogue on the Implementation of the mandates of Home Affairs Agencies

Home Affairs Agencies are central to safeguarding EU internal security, spanning from migration and asylum management to border security, law enforcement cooperation and the protection of fundamental rights. Strengthening their operation and inter-agency cooperation is essential to address evolving threats, and ensure the efficient implementation of EU policies. 

The implementation dialogue will: 

• discuss the operational roadblocks and day-to-day challenges that the Agencies face when implementing their mandates and collaborating with each other,
• delve into existing best practices, to overcome these challenges,
• explore opportunities and solutions.

The dialogue aligns with the EU’s commitment to simplify and accelerate policy implementation, as outlined in the Communication for A Simpler and Faster Europe and the Political Guidelines of the European Commission.  

Home Affairs Agencies are the primary stakeholders of this Dialogue. In addition, participants will include the Chairpersons of the Management Boards of the Respective Agencies who come from the Member States and who implement the Agencies’ work on the ground. 

Implementation Dialogues provide a platform for exchange with stakeholders to identify good practices and reduce the administrative burden while ensuring effective delivery of EU priorities. Following the dialogue, summary conclusions and the list of participating entities will be published online.
