EMN Germany national conference: Family Reunification – between Human Rights and Migration Management

Debates on Family Reunification often revolve around protecting a family’s right to live together versus the need for effective migration management. This conference will address these arguments and findings of the EMN Study on Family Reunification.

  • Conferences and summits

The event will feature two keynotes and two panels covering the European and the German perspective on Family Reunification. The second part of the event will focus on the actual implementation of the family reunification, highlighting best practices and challenges.

We will also present the results of the German contribution to the EMN Study on the State of Play, marking 20 years since the promulgation of the Family Reunification Directive.

The event will take place in central Berlin at the Representation of the European Commission and will be an in-person event only.
