The second meeting of the European Dialogue on Skills and Migration took place on 23 May 2017 in Brussels in the context of the European Business Summit. The focus of the second meeting of the Dialogue was the labour market integration of migrants and in particular the role that employers, including large companies, SMEs and public employers, and social partners can play to facilitate integration in the workplace and beyond. The Dialogue gave the opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities of integration for companies and migrants and to share good practices and ideas.
The event was opened and attended by Commissioners Avramopoulos and Thyssen.
High-level representatives from private companies (Deutsche Telekom, Accenture, IKEA, NCC, B-Post, Scandic Hotels) and economic and social partners (ETUC, Business Europe, UEAPME, CEEP, Eurochambres) took part into this event.
At the occasion of this event, the initiative "employers for integration" was launched to give visibility to employers active in the field of integration.
