As people displaced from war against Ukraine started arriving in Cyprus in 2022, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), member of BusinessEurope, entered consultations with the Cyprus government in order to help provide a coordinated response. The initiative was meant to helped those displaced from Ukraine to quickly access the labour market.
A specific procedure was set up, with all the required documents listed, to facilitate labour market integration. The OEB informed employers on the procedure and requirements in order to be able to legally employ people displaced from Ukraine.
