The 2021-2027 Action plan on integration and inclusion sets the following goals in relation to building strong partnerships:
- all relevant stakeholders are empowered and enabled to contribute to the integration process
- multi-stakeholder partnerships are built at EU, national, regional and local levels
- a structural and open dialogue exists between the European Commission and key integration stakeholders

1. Strengthen the European Integration Network (EIN)

The European Integration Network (EIN) brings together representatives of national public authorities responsible for migrant integration in the 27 EU countries as well as Iceland and Norway. The network continues to meet twice a year, with the last meeting held in Belgium in December 2024. Through mutual assistance projects, EIN members create partnerships and exchange on good practices. For example, in 2022, Greece, Austria and Italy have exchanged good practices on better coordination between local and regional authorities and national governments through a mutual assistance project.
