Cooperation with economic and social partners

Since 2016, the Commission has started an intense cooperation with economic and social partners on the topic of integration in the labour market.

In 2016 and 2017, the Commission organised the European dialogue on skills and migration, a discussion platform with economic and social partners. The first meeting focused on integration and skills shortages in specific sectors (health, ICT). The second meeting, organised in the context of the European Business Summit focused on the integration in the labour market of refugees and migrants.

In May 2017, the Commission launched the initiative “Employers together for integration” to mobilize employers on the topic of integration in the labour market.

In December 2017, the Commission signed the European Partnership on Integration with EU Economic and Social Partners organisations.
