Volumes of admission of third-country nationals entering the territory of the Republic of Cyprus for the purposes of highly qualified employment (EU Blue Card) are set to zero (0). Hence, currently no such permits are being issued. It should be noted that the Republic of Cyprus has recently transposed the revised EU Blue Card Directive (Directive (EU) 2021/1883) into national law and will soon be accepting and examining EU Blue Card applications and issuing permits for EU Blue Card holders.
