EMN collects, analyses and publishes factual information on migration and asylum issues.
Since 2008 the Swedish Migration Agency is the Swedish EMN National Contact Point (SE EMN NCP), which is located administratively within the unit for migration intelligence, as a separate section. The staff consists of a national coordinator and four senior advisers. They are responsible for coordinating and carrying out the tasks of the EMN work in Sweden.
They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining a national multi-level network of experts and stakeholders, including organisational and individual actors in the field of asylum and migration. Additional support is received from experts at other divisions within the Migration Agency related to different topics, for instance in regard to ad hoc queries.
