Call for participants: RAN Workshop on youth participation in P/CVE for local authorities

This digital meeting will take place via WebEx on 2 and 3 March 2021 (9:00 - 12:30 CET on both days)

For the RAN LOCAL workshop on ‘Youth Participation in P/CVE’ we are looking for suitable participants.

Background and aim of the meeting

The workshop will focus on disseminating and exchanging knowledge on how local authorities can organise youth participation in P/CVE within their own municipalities. The aim of this meeting is to provide local authorities with the right tools, methods and inspiration to practically organise youth participation in P/CVE on the local level.

The RAN YOUNG platform has tested different methods for youth engagement throughout 2020 which has resulted in two informative papers for local authorities. The highlights will be shared by members of the RAN YOUNG platform. Also, this meeting will deal with overcoming municipalities’ challenges such as how to build a sustainable relationship to enhance youth participation. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask young people’s perspectives on their dilemmas and/or ideas.

About RAN YOUNG

RAN YOUNG is a platform with approximately 25 young actors. The aim of the RAN YOUNG platform is to provide young people a voice in P/CVE and empower them to take action in their own communities and professions. In addition, RAN YOUNG aims to insert the perspective of young people to our network of first-line practitioners.

We are currently looking for local coordinators who wish to learn more about different and inspiring methods for youth participation in P/CVE on a local level.
