RAN Practitioners Webinar on ‘Working with children returning from Daesh-affiliated territories: exploring multi-stakeholder approaches to rehabilitation’

RAN Practitioners Logo

This webinar will be held in English and will take place via WebEx on 02 December 2021 (15.00 – 16.45 CET).

In light of the recent repatriation of 37 children and 11 women by the Danish and German governments in early October 2021, this webinar will focus on challenges and potential for multi-stakeholder approaches in the rehabilitation and (re)integration of returning children (and their mothers) from the territories formerly controlled by Daesh.

Aim of this webinar

The goal of this webinar is to address the key challenges, insights, and lessons learned related to the rehabilitation and societal (re)integration of returning children (and their mothers). The webinar will provide an opportunity to discuss the respective needs and vulnerabilities of this target group as well as the prerequisites for successful collaboration between all actors involved in their rehabilitation and (re)integration.

By bringing together speakers and participants from different fields (social workers, mental health professionals, teachers, prison and probation staff, and local administrations), the webinar aims to reflect on experiences made in the process of working with returning children, identifying potential for collaboration as well as persistent gaps in multi-stakeholder approaches.
