Knowledge centre on migration and demography of the European Commission presents two migration-related reports

Today the Knowledge centre on migration and demography of the European Commission is releasing two crucial reports. The first one assesses the fiscal impact of non-EU migrants under various scenarios. It shows that while no scenarios can solve ageing, integrating fully immigrants into the labour market (both in terms of participation and in terms of job quality) would have large positive fiscal impact for the EU Member States and is a key economic investment. The second report focuses on gender gaps and migrant women. It shows that there remain big obstacles to the labour market participation of migrant women in Europe, for which a comprehensive strategy is needed.
