Powerful and violent criminal networks expand their influence in Europe, both online and offline, and infiltrate our economy and society. To step up the fight against organised crime, the Commission will revise the EU rules on organised crime, to step up the response and target those that pose the biggest threat, as announced in President von der Leyen’s political guidelines for the European Commission 2024-2029.To help prepare new EU rules, the Commission wants to hear the views of stakeholders and citizens on the best response to organised crime. Therefore, the Commission published a call for evidence on 18 June.
