The 8th edition of the European Migration Forum takes place next week, on 4 and 5 December, in Brussels under the theme: ‘Migrants in Europe today: specific needs, skills and communication for stronger inclusion’. The Forum will bring around 250 participants from civil society and institutions who work with migrants and integrations. Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson and President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Oliver Röpke will open the event.

The three main roundtable sessions:

  • How to identify and support migrants and refugees with specific needs?
  • How to change the narrative on migration in the age of polarisation and disinformation?
  • What is needed for more sustainable labour market integration?

There will also be a Networking Village, where EU co-funded projects will be presented, with a focus on good practices.

The Forum is a platform for dialogue between civil society and European institutions on issues related to migration, asylum, and migrant integration, organised jointly by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee.

For more details, see the Forum’s full programme. All the main sessions will be live streamed.
