A Prague-based NGO, Association for Integration and Migration (SIMI), created an online guide to help foreigners (and others) navigate the path to dignified, safe, and long-term housing. The guide was developed as part of the "Refugees Welcome" project.

The handbook is based on the organisation's long-term experience working with clients who do not have social ties in Czechia, lack awareness of local customs and legal norms, are in a situation that is too vulnerable to claim their rights, or have been exposed to multiple discrimination. It responds to their need for a readily available, comprehensive, up to date summary of practical information.

The individual chapters in the handbook gradually unveil basic information on housing opportunities in Prague and Czechia, details about costs of accommodation, and advice on how to proceed in looking for housing. The handbook guides clients through the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords and the ways in which a lease agreement can be terminated. It also includes a glossary to make understanding housing terminology easier, as well as examples of the organisations' previous experiences that clients may themselves encounter.

The handbook is available online in Czech, English, Ukrainian and Russian.
