On Wednesday, 28 July 2021, Commissioner Johansson gave an interview for Lithuania’s evening news programme on LRT TV about the increased arrival of irregular migrants on the Belarus-Lithuanian border. The Commissioner said that the EU is monitoring the situation closely, and is ready to support Lithuania in managing EU’s external borders.
