Country factsheets and national reports
Under the umbrella of the Asylum and Migration Overview 2024, the European Migration Network provides two resources focussing on information at the national level: the country factsheets and the national reports. Together, they provide a comprehensive picture of migration and asylum developments in individual EMN Member and Observer Countries during 2024.
Country factsheets
The EMN country factsheets offer a concise overview of key developments in each EMN Member and Observer Country in 2024. They also present relevant statistics on migration and international protection. For EMN Member Countries and Norway, statistics are sourced from Eurostat. For EMN Observer Countries, national statistics are used.
The thematic areas are: overarching and crosscutting changes, legal migration, international protection, temporary protection and other measures in response to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups, integration and inclusion of migrants, citizenship and statelessness, Schengen governance and other developments in border management and visa policies, irregular migration, trafficking in human beings, return and readmission, migration and development.
National reports
The EMN national reports on migration and asylum describe the most important political and legislative developments and debates that took place during 2024 in each EMN Member and Observer Country, offering a comprehensive overview of key trends and developments in the fields of migration and asylum.
There are 10 thematic areas: legal migration and mobility, international protection including asylum, temporary protection, unaccompanied minors, integration, citizenship and statelessness, borders, Schengen and visas, irregular migration, return and readmission, trafficking in human beings.
