  1. The determination of the (EU) Member State responsible for examining an application for international protection is done on the basis of objective and hierarchical criteria, as laid out in Chapter III of Regulation (EU) No 604/2013 (Dublin III Regulation).
  2. In order to implement a Dublin transfer, a transfer request is issued which is defined as follows: formal procedure in which an (EU) Member State carrying out the process of determining the (EU) Member State responsible submits a request for the transfer of an applicant for international protection to the (EU) Member State designated deemed responsible, after acceptance of a take charge or take back request.
