Description
In this article we assume radicalization as a vehicle for the perpetration of terrorist acts and, under an explanatory and comprehensive approach, we intend to answer those questions, presenting a brief review of the literature on the phenomenon of radicalisation, especially of the jihadist type. We define the concept, explore its causes, models, characterize the "profile" of radicalised individuals, and present the mechanisms for prevention and combating radicalsation at the global (United Nations) and regional (European Union) levels.
