Online radicalisation has emerged as one of the principal vectors of ideological mobilisation in jihadist terrorism, exploiting the dynamics of cyberspace to disseminate propaganda, recruit new followers, and incite violence. This transnational phenomenon challenges traditional security models and necessitates a multidisciplinary approach that integrates technological, socio-political, and legal dimensions.
This study examines the influence of information and communication technologies on contemporary terrorism dynamics, highlighting the new challenges posed to internal security. It also demonstrates that the internet serves not only as a way for spreading propaganda but also as a space for belonging and ideological socialisation, which accelerates and amplifies the radicalisation process. Furthermore, this work explores the transition from traditional radicalisation models to digital ecosystems. It concludes that combating this phenomenon requires a multidimensional strategy that combines technological innovation, inter-institutional cooperation, and the strengthening of social and democratic resilience as foundational pillars of internal security.
