This talk explores the Incel (involuntary celibate) movement from psychological and sociological perspectives. It explains how online communities of mainly young men who feel excluded from romantic relationships can develop misogynistic, antifeminist, and sometimes extremist beliefs. The presentation analyses the radicalisation dynamics within online forums, where narratives of victimhood, resentment, and conspiracy theories about gender relations are reinforced. It also discusses how these ideas can evolve into violent fantasies or, in some cases, real acts of violence, highlighting the importance of understanding the social and psychological mechanisms behind this form of online radicalisation.
