The European Remembrance Day for Victims of Terrorism, observed annually on 11 March, was established in response to the tragic Madrid bombings of 2004. It serves as a day of reflection and solidarity, bringing together victims, survivors, and representatives from across Europe to honour those affected by terrorism. This pioneering programme provided practitioners with the unparalleled opportunity of “shadowing“ and learning through practical P/CVE experience. The concept behind the programme is that visiting and hosting practitioners can learn from each other in a more informal setting than provided through traditional meetings or training seminars. This is why the Knowledge Hub is launching its job shadowing programme which is open to practitioners, researchers, and policy makers!Read more USA: Meta's decision to eliminate fact-checkers from its platforms in the USA poses a significant threat to online safety and democracyMeta's decision to discontinue its partnership with fact-checkers in the U.S. has raised serious concerns about the potential consequences for online safety and democracy. Without independent fact-checkers to verify information, social media platforms could become unchecked breeding grounds for the spread of misinformation and harmful content.
